I used to be like that too. ‘Focusing on the negatives’. Focusing on the horrible outcome that I was a 1000% responsible for — Instead of focusing on the ‘Solution’.

When we are in a search mode, searching for a solution, we are much more excited human beings. Excitement creates momentum. Momentum leads us to growth. I know it’s a 360 degree paradigm shift for some of us. But try it anyway.

In 1995, I took up a job as a ‘door to door salesman’.
I was selling ‘satellite dishes’ door to door. My goal was to sell 8 satellite dishes per day. After days of testing my ability to sell, I got some numbers in. Here it was…
If I knock at 95 doors, I’ll sell 8 satellite dishes. It was almost always consistent most of the days.
95 doors, 8 sales.
But there were some days, where 95 doors would only get me 5 sales. So I would stay a little longer in the field and knock at an extra 36 doors…and BOOM, it was like magic. I would reach my goal.
I learned a valuable lesson peddling in and around the residential neighborhood in New York City.
And surprise, surprise…. It works the same way online too.
First, do your tests and get the data in. Don’t trust any ol’ numbers that other people gave you. DO YOUR OWN TESTS. (Example: 100 doors, 8 sales / 1000 visitors, 25 leads / 100 leads, 10 sales…etc)
Focus on getting the traffic and not on the sales coming in. You simply have to focus on getting a 1000 visitors to your website everyday.
If you fail to reach your goal, you simply have to knock on more doors. (Get more traffic)
Simple enough?
Now, I know what some people are thinking. Traffic costs a lot of money, and I don’t have it.
Yeeeaaah… if you are still messing around with ‘Google Adwords’ or any other company who doesn’t care about the small guys / girls.
There are plenty of media available for pennies on the dollar right now.
As an online entrepreneur, the ONLY thing that you should focus on, should be how to drive traffic and how to convert traffic. Everything else will come as a result of you ‘Focusing on the RIGHT solution’ to your cash flow problems.
