In a previous post, I wrote about ‘The 6 ad design layouts that work“ – that gives that professional and high end look for your ads and WebPages.
Well, since then I have learned so much and wanted to share with you some of the key design rules to keep in mind, when creating your ad copy for the web. These rules can be applied to your HTML email ads, your Landing pages, and even your Website Copy.
Here is how to achieve a Clean Cut and Sophisticated look for your Web Offers.
You want to achieve a clean image for your business. By clean, I mean ‘clutter- less’ and make your readers, ‘focused’ only on the content, not the design. You can achieve a clean looking page by following these design principles.
1. Add One ‘Bold’ and ‘Stand Out’ Image that directly relates to the content of your web page. Do not crowd the page with multiple images unless they are for illustration purposes.
2. The Rule Of Thirds. If you have been studying photography then you may be familiar with the ‘rule of thirds’. The rule of thirds states – “Position key points of interest in a landscape on the intersecting point between imaginary ‘third’ points in an image and you’ll help give your image balance and help those focal points to really capture attention.” Read more about the rule of thirds.
3. Balance. Balance refers to the overall composition of images, graphical elements and typography within a design. Repeat the same fonts and elements over and over to obtain a balance in the design.
4. Invisible Lines. Invisible lines are the areas created between the different parts of a design. For example, the palpable but invisible lines that run vertically and horizontally between the crop marks on a printed page.
I would recommend carefully studying the design of Apple Computer website to get ideas and inspirations to make your website and ad design sophisticated and easy to read.
Impress your readers and gain trust by accentuating your content and offer by following the rules above.
