Six Ad-Layout Styles That Work

We are designing new templates for our rent-a-list clients and I am really excited about this! What most ad-companies charge an arm-and-a-leg for professional layout and design - We provide our clients for FREE!

I’d like to reveal the 6 layout that work for web-advertising and other media advertising as well.

Six Layout Styles That Work!

Your ad layout should be designed to boost the attention your message receives and to make your ad easier to read. Here are six ways of organizing your ad’s headlines, text, images, and logo, based on your particular needs.

1. Picture Window Layout

This is the most popular layout style. The visual takes up two thirds of the ad space. It is accompanied by one-line title and text broken down into two or three columns.

The vertical layout with the picture on the top, the title directly beneath it, and text further down, always works miracles. Since people are accustomed to seeing text beneath illustrations, this would be an easy layout to read.

2. Type Specimen Layout

This layout style captures attention by emphasizing the headline.

This kind of layout is popular for long-copy ads and direct mail type ads. The headline should be strong and bold for this layout.

3. Copy Heavy Layout

If your copy is long and dominant this would be a great layout to use.

The image will take up very less or no space at all, and the headline will only take one or two lines.

4. Circus Style Layout

Despite appearances, a circus style layout is well organized and intended to create excitement.

A series of minor elements combined to create a consistent and powerful whole.

5. Frame Style Layout

For this type of layout, the text is entirely surrendered by different graphic elements that relates to the product you are selling.

This type of layout is often used to advertise fashion products and jewelry.

6. Silhouette Style Layout

The copy in a silhouette layout literally surrounds the product or object by following it’s contours and outline.

Silhouettes are used in alcohol and cosmetics ads.

The Main Purpose of Email Marketing

There are no misconceptions that e-mail marketing has planted its feet! This online marketing method covers a huge range of communications with customers and prospects.

For example, you might send a quick e-mail to a prospect confirming you received an inquiry from them. Even this type of personalized correspondence should be considered a form of e-mail marketing, while knowing the high standards you set for any e-mail campaign. This means understanding the needs of your audience, crafting an appropriate and timely response, writing in a professional voice, offering a clear call to action and checking closely to eliminate any errors.

The main purpose of e-mail marketing is to keep customers and prospects interested, show you understand and can meet their needs and motivate them to keep coming back to you.

The (From) and (Subject) are the two most important components of any e-mail you send. This is what the recipient sees first in their inbox. The decision to open or delete e-mail is based on what appears in these two components.

The (From) should be used to clearly brand your company and/or provide the name of the person from who the e-mail was sent.

The (Subject) must persuade the recipient to open the e-mail without being misleading. Writing the (Subject) is an art unto itself. A few good rules to follow are to keep it short, contain a sense of urgency or timeliness, relevancy and uniqueness.

You should also avoid using all caps or symbols as these tend to be red flags for spam filters, as are use of the words (free) and ?work at home? in the (Subject) or body copy.

Studies have shown the best time of day and day of week to send marketing e-mails is Tuesday through Thursday. The reason behind this suggests people are busy on Mondays with a new work week and on Fridays, trying to finish projects or get out of the office early. Test various times and days yourself and make your own conclusion as to the best times.

5 Key questions to answer before advertising.

We get a lot of first time advertisers asking this…

“What is involved in planning my Online Ad Campaign?”

Preparation is key to your ad’s success. Whatever its size, an effective ad is based on the simple principle of analyzing the situation and planning your campaign.

According to Cossette Group, a market research firm, 10% to 90% of advertising investments are tossed down the drain due to poor preparation.

Here are 5 Key strategies to answer before you advertise any product, online or offline:

  1. What’s your product? Planning your ad campaign starts with knowing your product. What are it’s strength? What are it’s weakness? What do people think about your company? Start by collecting all the information you can on your product.
  2. What is your target audience? To whom are you speaking? For whom are your ads intended? To succeed in any campaign, you must define your target.
  3. What’s your Promise? Whether you like it or not, your advertising is always based on the promise of satisfaction. Your ads must respond to a need or to a desire.
  4. What’s your objective? The next key to a successful ad campaign is to know it’s purpose. You need to set a goal before you can build an effective plan.
  5. What is you budget? Your leverage is largely a function of your financial resources. A small budget does not mean corresponding results. Testing is the key if you are running ad for a product that’s not been personally tested by you.

The Best Copywriting You’ll Ever Do

CopyWritingOne of the most important things to remember when writing ad copy, is NEVER try to sell the features of your product or service. Sell the BENEFITS.

If you fail to sell the benefits, you will sell nothing!

Always remember, the reader is not interested in you or how long it took you to develop your wonderful product. They are not remotely interested that it took you 12 months of working 18 hour days at whatever cost. These are FEATURES.

And Features don’t sell. Only BENEFITS achieve that. What is in it for me - BOTTOM LINE.

A prospect is only turned on when you show them the benefits of how much time it will save them. How much money they could make for less work involved and how much they can use this to their advantage.

People are lazy by nature, we all know that at some level. It is human nature to get the most out something for the least amount of work. If I said you can earn $10,000 per month for 1 hour work per day “GUARANTEED OR YOUR MONEY BACK,” I would  be flooded with offers. It would be nice scenario, but highly unlikely.

Show your reader BENEFITS, BENEFITS, and MORE BENEFITS.

That’s the one Golden Rule you must NEVER break! Paint a picture of what will be the ultimate desired outcome from buying your product or service.

Sell them your benefits over, and over again. What are they? Do you even know yourself? Write down what you think your product or service does better than anyone else’s and if it falls into these categories, you have a winner. You MUST get that across
to your reader.

- More Money
- Love
- Respect
- Security
- Better Health

These words all trigger emotional responses within each and every one of us. It is in our nature to want the easiest most profitable way to get on with our lives. Do not be ashamed of it.
